Critical Literacy
In English we are studying different keys of a text in critical literacy. We are generally focusing on establishing whether a news website is factual or fake and understanding texts and what they mean. Some keys we are recovering are:

-Power structures within a text
-What a millennial is
-Questioning how knowledge is constructed and used.
-To decipher texts to see whether a website is factual/fake
-Evaluating text to see if its basis
-Establishing key texts

I learnt that to find out whether a news website is factual or fake, when you look on it and explore the articles, you will notice that they will post very unrealistic news or the titles will have explicit language.
A millennial is the era of people that were born between 1981 and 1996, also known as generation Y or gen Y.

I am wondering why so many people make a range of fake news sites and they actually put time into creating fake articles and its just unnecessary.
