Critical literacy - The outsiders film

What kind of social realities does the text portray? Its based on gangs and how people (specifically young people) can be affected when they're in/ or surrounded by gangs.

What genre does this text belong to? Drama/crime.

What kind of language is used in this test? They use a lot of slang in the text because young people prefer to communicate with it.

    i like that you outlined what the story is about and the genre of it
    next time you could write some stuff about some of the characters
